Marlin Guitars

Carving the letters and numbers is very simple and can be done very quickly. Templates are mounted in the copy table; the sign material is centered and clamped by the material holding bars; the special tracing stylus is lowered into the template groove; then the carving bit is lowered into the material. With the stylus following the template roves, the carving bit reproduces the letters in perfect styling and spacing. After carving, the carved letters and/or numbers may be filled with paint. When this is dry, sanding completes the sign. For outdoor use, the sign may be varnished or painted.

With a few hours of practice, anyone can learn to make a precise, professionally carved sign. These may be sold through gift or hobby shops, hardware stores etc., or sold directly, at great profits.

All one needs for sign carving is a Marlin carving machine, machine base, router motor, special tracing stylus, copy table, master letter sets, router bits and a pair of material holding bars.

To carve archtop guitar bodies(CM-624), violin and viola bodies(CM-614), and mandolin bodies(CM-614) you need the Marlin carving machine, router, router bit and matching stylus.
